According to NBC News, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s performance of the Oscar-winning track, “Shallow,” from their collaborative project, A Star Is Born, led to a lot of rumors and speculation regarding a relationship between the two.
However, Gaga is coming out once again to explain the entire thing was merely “orchestrated” to create the impression of them dating. Speaking with Oprah Winfrey for Elle Magazine, published on Wednesday, Gaga said she and the leading actor wanted to give off the impression as if they were madly in love with each other.
When she explained herself to Winfrey, Lady Gaga said she and Bradley Cooper created a “love story,” and so a big part of what they wanted to do with the performance was to make people feel that love, both in the theaters as well as at the Grammy Awards.
Gaga stated that she and Cooper actually orchestrated every bit of their performance to make it seem as though they were truly in love. And they worked extremely hard on it for several days, mapping each part of it out completely.

“It was orchestrated as a performance,” Lady Gaga remarked, and clearly, it worked, because after the Grammys, the whole world was entirely convinced they were secretly dating, despite Bradley’s romance with Irina Shayk, which ended not long after.
A few months following the 24th of February duet on live television, Irina Shayk and Bradley broke up, which many people on social media believed wholeheartedly was due to a secret affair between Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.
Moreover, Lady Gaga actually split from her fiancé, Christian Carino, in February as well, whereas Bradley and Irina broke up back in June of this year. Additionally, Lady Gaga explained how portraying Ally led to the reopening of old wounds.

She claims she was raped when she was 19-years-old, repeatedly, and has subsequently been traumatized as a result. The singer stated when she looked at the Oscar, she saw a lot of pain, but despite that hurt, she has managed to persevere.
