The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, on Friday, dismissed claims that the country’s football governing body is owing Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr three month’s salary.
According to NFF, Rohr is only being owed salary for the month of September, which is being processed.
NFF made this known in a tweet on their official Twitter page on Friday ahead of Nigeria’s international friendly clash against Brazil on Sunday in Singapore.
“The NFF wishes to put the records straight with regards to a claim in social media on Friday, 11th October 2019 that the football house is owing Super Eagles’ Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, three months’ salary.
“As we speak, Mr. Rohr is only being owed salary for the month of September 2019, which is being processed,” NFF tweeted.
Rohr, who has one year left on his contract with the federation, has a $1million (N360m) payment clause inserted in his deal.
The 66-year-old led the Super Eagles to a third-place finish at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, beating Tunisia 1-0.
