Fuller House star Bob Saget has known Lori Loughlin for more than thirty years, and he is not about to cut her out of his life just because she’s found herself in the middle of the Varsity Blues college admission scandal. The 63-year-old actor, comedian, and game show host recently spoke about where he stands on the issue, and he says that he loves the people he loves, and when people go through life sometimes stuff happens.
“For a while, I was saying, ‘No comment,’ and now there’s just no point in talking about it because I’ve answered it,” Saget told Fox News. “What I would say is, I love the people I love, and I have empathy for people that are in my life for 35 years. I don’t cut people out.”

Saget added that he had never had friends growing up, so he’s lucky to have any in the first place.
This comment echoes what he said back in March when the news first broke that Loughlin and her husband – fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli – were facing conspiracy and bribery charges after they allegedly paid $500,000 to get their two daughters, Olivia and Isabella, admission into the University of Southern California as crew recruits even though neither of them played the sport.
While their co-defendant Felicity Huffman has already pleaded guilty and served her prison sentence, Loughlin and Giannulli continue to plead not guilty and are waiting for their day in court. The couple is also facing many years in prison if they are found guilty.
Loughlin’s on-screen husband John Stamos is also extremely supportive of his longtime co-star. And, as the producer of Fuller House, he is still trying to figure out how they will deal with Loughlin’s absence during the fifth and final season of the Netflix show. Stamos says it’s been difficult for everyone, but he wouldn’t elaborate on how they will continue without her.

As for Saget, he says he is thankful for all of the people who are in his life because of his eight season run on Full House – plus his five season run on the reboot, Fuller House. He says that his house could possibly be on fire because of the California wildfires, and Stamos has been texting him asking if he is OK and offering him a place to stay.
Bob Saget joked that he lived with Stamos long enough in “that house in San Francisco.” However, he says he is very fortunate to still be very good friends with Stamos, and he has people in his life who are very valuable to him.

Season 5 of Fuller House will premiere on Netflix in late 2019.
