Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly Dodd appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen this week, and the interview went into some seriously unexpected places. Dodd didn’t hold back when sharing her thoughts on her RHOC co-stars, and the one regret she has about hitting Shannon Beador on the head with a mallet had Cohen saying, “Oh God.”
Dodd refused to apologize for her actions during the cast trip to an Arizona spa, and after they played a clip from the most recent episode, Dodd revealed that her only regret about hitting Beador on the head was that she didn’t hit her “harder.”
When Cohen asked if she thought she was out of control during the episode, Dodd said “No, absolutely not.” As Cohen smiled at Dodd’s response, she went on to explain that it was the other cast members who were out of control, and they were scheming and manipulative.
To be fair, Beador was wearing a metal bowl on her head during the incident, and Dodd was joking. But, Beador didn’t find it funny, as the “dong” left her with a headache and some blurry vision in her left eye.
Beador headed to urgent care with Tamra Judge, and as Dodd expected, Beador made a “big deal” out of the situation. Cohen then turned Dodd’s one regret into a game called “Do You Regret It?”
Cohen started firing off past incidents – twelve in total – and asked if Dodd had regrets. First, he asked about the animated pig emoji she sent to Vicki Gunvalson, and Dodd shouted, “Nope!” Cohen then asked about the time Dodd said Gunvalson looked like a Sasquatch, and before he could finish the question, Dodd said, “She does.”
By the end of the game, Dodd only had three regrets: signing off on her ex-boyfriend Dr. Brian renting an apartment below hers, sharing the details of her sex life with Dr. Brian, and telling Emily Simpson that she messed up during her burlesque performance in Las Vegas.
Dodd also addressed a tweet from Gunvalson about Dodd’s claims that she was more “accomplished” than Gina Kirschenheiter because she’s never been arrested for a DUI, has “owned 10 homes,” and has “millions of dollars.” Cohen read the tweet out loud during the episode before Dodd responded.
“How can Kelly say she’s ‘accomplished?'” read Cohen. “She does not have a job, does not own a home, is not a career person and lives in a $4500 900 square foot apartment that is about to be condemned??”
Dodd replied that “it is, but okay. So?” Then she said that she’s college educated and has plenty of money in the bank and can afford whatever she wants. Dodd also called Gunvalson a “dumb*ss” and an “idiot” because she doesn’t have a college education and she “lives in the six.”
